OnePlus has shown a new edition of its OnePlus 8T, which is entirely dedicated to the cyberpunk theme. But it doesn't stop at a special design, because the software has also been specially adapted for fans of Cyberpunk 2077. There is also a release date.

Even the video game Cyberpunk 2077 the Polish development studio CD Projekt Red does not have, but that has OnePlus not deterred now a customized version of its mobile phones OnePlus 8T show . This has dedicated itself entirely to the design of Cyberpunk 2077 in terms of both appearance and software. In terms of equipment, however, there are no innovations, so the normal hardware of the OnePlus 8T, which came on the market in October 2020, remains.

One of the highlights of the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition is the back of the phone, which is divided into three areas. At the top there is a camera hump that extends over the entire width of the smartphone. The middle area is decorated with a OnePlus logo and consists of a special glass. At the bottom, in turn, is an engraved Cyberpunk lettering on a carbon fiber background.

Several elements of the software are based on the game Cyberpunk 2077. This includes a hacker animation when the phone is charging, but also a flickering neon light when the smartphone is switched on. The unlocking by fingerprint is very reminiscent of the artificial eye scan from the game. There are two filters for photos and videos, “Night City” and “Northern California”, and new sounds are also included.

According to the current state of knowledge, OnePlus would like to offer the Cyperpunk 2077 Edition only in China. The cell phone will be available there from November 11th for the equivalent of 513 euros. It has not yet been revealed whether the limited version of the OnePlus 8T will also be launched in other countries.
