With Lidl Connect, Christmas comes a little earlier this year. Those who decide on one of the discounters’ smart tariffs will receive double the data volume. The promotion is limited in time – and of course the small print has to be taken into account. GIGA reveals how you can get up to 7 GB LTE volume for free.
Lidl Connect: Double volume in smart tariffs
Lidl has come up with a new promotion where new customers can benefit from a double data volume. The only requirement is that the desired tariff is activated during the campaign period between 5 November and 31 December 2020. Customers therefore need do nothing more than choose one of the four smart tariffs from Lidl Connect during this period.
The doubled LTE volume is granted for 12 weeks, which corresponds to three billing periods for Lidl Connect. There is no minimum term, it can be cancelled every four weeks. 100 free minutes and SMS as well as a start-up bonus are included in the smallest of the tariffs, all others have a telephone and SMS flat rate with them. A starting bonus over 10 Euro is available in any case.

Lidl Connect: Smart XL with 14 GB LTE volume
One of the highlights of the new promotion concerns the tariff Smart XL, which is offered for 12 weeks with 14 GB instead of 7 GB. The price for 4 weeks is 17,99 Euro. More favorable is the tariff Smart S, where now 6 GB instead of 3 GB are part of the offer. In any case, surfing and telephoning will be done via the Vodafone network.
Is now a good time to cancel the mobile phone contract?
Interested parties should know that the offer is only for new customers. Even if you switch from one Lidl Connect tariff to another during the promotion period, you will not be charged twice the data volume.
