Samsung cell phones: Now everything should go very fast

Last updated on March 9, 2021

Owners of Samsung mobile phones can be happy. The South Korean company is well on schedule and has now provided information for the first time about when the next major Android update will be released and what to expect in it.

Samsung will distribute Android 11 update in November

Samsung has already started distributing the beta update of Android 11 for the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series some time ago. The company wants to make sure that no problems occur during the pre-testing with voluntary users. Now Samsung Malaysia not only tell us what we are doing with the One UI 3.0, but also announced that the final update will be released in November 2020. That’s a bit earlier than we expected, but shows that the development has progressed very well.

Samsung wants to make using Galaxy mobile phones even easier and more efficient with the One UI 3.0. To this end, some changes have been made to optimize certain processes. Already in Android 11 all notifications from messengers like WhatsApp are bundled and of course Samsung does exactly that. In addition, you should be able to do several things at once and customize your smartphone even better. So everybody should get a mobile phone that fits to him. According to Samsung Malaysia, the best smartphones should be supplied first, followed by other devices. Of course, this means that the Galaxy-S20 and Galaxy-Note-20 series, which is already in beta-test, will soon receive the final update to Android 11.

Samsung distributes long and fast updates

Even though a few smartphone manufacturers such as OnePlus have already distributed updates to Android 11, Samsung would be one of the first major manufacturers to start with the rollout in November. Xiaomi, Huawei and Co. are still keeping their customers waiting. Moreover, Samsung is very fast when it comes to monthly security updates. The company even delivers them to Google every month. In addition, current models receive three major Android updates and four years of security updates. Samsung has thus become one of the most reliable Android manufacturers when it comes to updates.
