Amazon Music Announces DJ Mode For Listeners In The US


Amazon Music announced DJ Mode on June 10. This newfangled Amazon Music DJ Mode experience boasts an impressive array of personalized, and hosted stations. They are graced by music experts, featured artists, and top DJs.

Listeners in the United States were able to opt-in on Thursday. They could check out the new DJ-hosted stations across various genres such as hip-hop, pop, and country.

In addition to insights from industry experts, these stations offer music facts as well as trivia from Alexa.

The Rap Rotation playlist will include drop-ins from DJ Letty and a slew of other rap stars. For example, as a Billie Eilish Takeover experience blends with her hand-selected songs, favorite tracks, and information about her music.

Amazon Music DJ Mode lifts your listening experience

VP of Amazon Music, Steve Boom said that the DJ Mode will strike a perfect balance between traditional radio and the best of streaming. Boom explained that DJ Mode allows fans to stream music that is exclusively picked for them and enjoy the “personality of DJ-hosted radio” at the same time.

Fans will be able to opt in to enjoy the new experience across Amazon Music’s top three stations including All Hits, Country Heat, and Rap Rotation. Amazon will be adding more stations soon.

Aside from that, fans can enjoy the first-ever artist-led DJ Mode. In The Billie Eilish Takeover, the “Your Power” songstress will shed light on her inspirations, her favorite songs, along some behind-the-scenes stories.

How to listen to DJ Mode?

Amazon Music subscribers and Prime Members in the U.S. can request enabled stations using voice via Alexa. Alternatively, they can use the new Car Mode to access Amazon Music when in the car. Users can even use the Amazon Music app for Android, iOS, and Fire TV. Stations include:

The eCommerce giant is offering its best deal ever for Prime members who haven’t tried Amazon Music Unlimited yet. As part of this deal, they will be able to avail of a premium subscription service free for four months and access over 75 million songs ad-free and several podcast episodes.

On top of that, when Prime members who are new to Amazon Music Unlimited buy select Amazon Echo devices, they get six months of the premium subscription service free. If you do not want to the commentary, you can still access these stations without DJ Mode.
