Toyota wants to launch an E-SUV based on the new e-TNGA platform that the Japanese want to use for many cars.

Toyota plans a medium-size electric SUV on a new architecture. This will offer high flexibility in vehicle width, length, wheelbase and height and will be used for numerous other cars. The e-TNGA platform can be used for front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive vehicles. In addition, batteries and electric motors of different sizes can be installed.
According to Toyota, the first model based on e-TNGA has already been fully developed – production is currently being prepared. The production will take place in Japan. The manufacturer plans to announce details in the coming months
Toyota’s premium brand Lexus already presented an electric car with the UX 300e. The manufacturer wants to give a million km or ten years warranty on the battery in the Lexus UX 300e.
The battery of the compact crossover is not particularly large: The capacity is specified as 54.3 kWh, the range in the WLTP cycle should be 305 to 315 km depending on the tyres.
The motor of the UX 300e has an output of 150 kW. The charging power is 50 kW for direct current charging and 6.6 kW for alternating current charging.
