Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 3070 (test) went on sale in Germany on October 29th at 2 p.m. However, online mail order companies can no longer deliver ampere graphics cards one day later. This applies to US retailers like Newegg, where it only took a few hours for the Founders Edition and the models of the board partners to sell out.
In Germany it looks similar: The Geforce RTX 3070 Founders Edition could be ordered for 500 euros on Notebooksbilliger.de. During the ordering process, Golem.de had already noticed delays and disconnections to the online retailer’s server at around 3 p.m. However, the cards were still available for a while. When the Geforce RTX 3090 was bought privately in September, all copies were sold out after 15 minutes and the dealers’ ordering systems were overloaded. Meanwhile the supply of the Geforce RTX 3070 is almost exhausted. Nvidia confirms this on its own product page .
A few copies still available
Online retailers such as Alternate Caseking, K&M and Reichelt Elektronik have products from board partners on offer. However, no availabilities are given there either. Online shops like Mindfactory didn’t even include the product in the search. Mediamarkt and Saturn also report sold out graphics cards on their product pages.
Mail order company Cyberport still has two models from board partners in stock: the Asus Geforce RTX 3070 Dual OC for 600 and the Asus Rog Strix RTX 3070 Gaming OC for 730 euros.
Interesting: At the start of the Geforce RTX 3070, only the Founders Edition could be bought for the price of 500 euros. The models of the board partners directly cost 80 euros and more in surcharge. This also includes standard models that, apart from modified cooling designs and standard PCIe power connectors, do not differ from the reference model.
