- Samsung will reportedly launch the Galaxy S22 series on February 8.
- The same news outlet claims that the phones will go on sale from February 24.
Samsung is widely expected to reveal the Galaxy S22 series in the coming weeks, with at least one tipster pointing to a February 8 launch event. Now, a Korean website has corroborated this date while also bringing more apparent availability details.
Digital Daily reports (h/t: Sleepy Kuma) that Samsung will host an Unpacked event for the Galaxy S22 series on February 8, with pre-orders kicking off on February 9 and general sales starting on February 24.
“We have confirmed the event to be held on February 8, and we are discussing the timing of sending out invitations to the end of January,” an unnamed Samsung official told the news outlet, according to machine translation.
This also means Samsung won’t be launching its new phones at MWC 2022, but Digital Daily claims that Samsung will use the expo for its Galaxy ecosystem instead.
The February 8 date was first reported by tipster Jon Prosser last year, although he claimed that sales would kick off on February 18 instead. Either way, the February 8 launch date is looking more and more likely at this point.
