Tesla’s 2021 models are unbeatable when it comes to efficiency. This is shown by the figures from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The EPA published the consumption values for the Teslas of the model year 2021 , as the blog Electrek reported . The so-called MPGe values are given. This is the abbreviation for miles per gallon of gasoline equivalent. The values are determined by the manufacturers. The same applies to Europe.
It shows that the Model 3 Long Range AWD with 134 MPGe or 25 kWh per 100 miles is the front runner. The other Tesla models occupy the other top places. In fifth place is the Mini Cooper SE from BMW with 108 MPGe.
The Polestar 2 (92 MPGe) and the Volvo XC40 Elektro (79 MPGe) also land in the top 10.
Even if Tesla builds the most efficient electric cars, at least in the US, it should not be forgotten that the company has difficulties in other areas. So the manufacturing quality is at least fluctuating.
