November 2021 Security Update Rolls Out For Carrier-Locked Galaxy S10

While the unlocked models of various Samsung flagships are already receiving the December 2021 security update, the carrier-locked Galaxy S10 is now picking up the November 2021 security update.

Notably, the international variants of the Samsung Galaxy S10 have already received the November 2021 security update. The company started rolling out the update last month.

Now, the time is for the carrier-locked Galaxy S10 series to be served with the update. It is rolling out for the entire Galaxy S10 lineup, which includes the Galaxy S10, S10e, and the Galaxy S10+. The unlocked models in the US have also received an update.

Samsung Galaxy S10 series was launched back in 2019. It came with Android 9 Pie onboard. Later, in 2020, it received its first firmware update in the form of Android 10. Earlier this year, Samsung rolled out the Android 11 update for the entire lineup.

The November 2021 security update is a very crucial update as it fixes several security and privacy-related vulnerabilities. As usual, this security update is purely incremental in nature.

Meaning, it does not bring any new features for the Galaxy S10 lineup. However, if you own a Galaxy S10 series device on the T-Mobile network, then the update is already live for your device.

According to SamMobile, the November 2021 security update for the carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy S10 series arrives with the firmware version G975USQU6GUJ3.

The official changelog doesn’t mention any new feature, but general stability and performance improvements are a part of it. The update is rolling out via OTA in batches. This means it will arrive for all the carrier-locked Galaxy S10 series phones gradually.

Other networks, apart from T-Mobile are expected to join the bandwagon soon. If you wish to manually check for the update, then you can do that by heading over to the Settings menu.

Then navigate to Software updates > Download and install. The system will then check for the update. If it detects one, then you can tap on the notification to begin the download of the update.

As far as the Android 12 One UI 4 update is concerned, Samsung has already started beta-testing the Android 12 update for the Galaxy S10 series. Apparently, the Android 12 stable update is expected to roll out for the series in January 2022.
