Redmi 10 specs, renders leak: A significant upgrade over the Redmi 9?

  • Specs and renders of the Redmi 10 have leaked online.
  • The specs show a phone with a 90Hz display and a 50MP main camera.
  • There’s no word on pricing or availability right now.

The Redmi number series is one of the most popular Xiaomi phone families, coming in under the Redmi Note family but still delivering a solid experience. The Redmi 9 was the most recent release in this regard, but it looks like the Redmi 10 has now been extensively leaked.

In any event, the listing suggests we’re looking at two notable upgrades compared to the Redmi 9. For one, the main camera has been upgraded from a 13MP shooter to a 50MP sensor. Presumably, this is the budget Samsung JN1 50MP camera (0.64-micron pixels). Otherwise, the rest of the rear camera system features an 8MP sensor and a pair of 2MP shooters. An 8MP lens in a center-mounted punch-hole handles selfies.

The other significant upgrade is the move from a 6.53-inch 60Hz LCD panel (FHD+) to a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. So those wanting a smoother display on a budget might want to keep an eye on this device.

Otherwise, it looks like the rest of the Redmi 10 is similar to its predecessor. It’s said to offer a Helio G88 SoC with a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU (so potentially just a minor upgrade over the Helio G80), a 5,000mAh battery, and 18W fast charging. The phone is listed with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage, but we can assume that this is just the top-end variant.

There’s no word on pricing or availability, but the Redmi 9 had a launch price of roughly Rs 9,000 (~$121) in India and €149 (~$175) in Europe. So we can expect a similar price window if or when the Redmi 10 hits these markets.
