Tecno Phantom V Fold shows its design in a hands-on video

The Tecno Phantom V Fold appeared in live images quite recently, though it was covered by a case. Well, now, the Tecno Phantom V Fold surfaced in a hands-on video, giving us a proper look at its design.

The Tecno Phantom V Fold appears in a hands-on video

This device will become the company’s very first foldable smartphone. This video confirms that it will come in a white color option, with a silver trim. It will have a large circular camera cutout on the back.

This won’t be a small phone. It’s a book-style foldable, like the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It will have two large displays, one of which will be foldable. A display camera hole will sit on both the main and cover display.

It will be centered at the top of the cover display, and centered at the top of the right side of the folding display. Stereo speakers will also be a part of the package, and it seems like the power/lock button will double as a fingerprint scanner.

Thanks to this video, you can also check out what its software will look like. The video doesn’t show much, though. The phone will run Android, of course, though not vanilla Android. Those of you who used Tecno phones are familiar with the build.

The device will launch on February 28

Based on a recent report, this smartphone is expected to launch on February 28. So, we’ll get far more information later this month. It will be interesting to see how much will the phone cost.

Tecno will need to hit the right spot with the price tag for this device. The competition in the foldable space is increasing, even though Samsung is still the undisputed king outside of China.

We also don’t know what specs to expect inside of this phone. We’re guessing Tecno will go for a powerful set of specs, but perhaps not the bleeding edge, to be able to control the price.
