Last updated on March 9, 2021

The data from Google’s Pixel 5 has leaked: The smartphone will appear with a Snapdragon 765G, a dual camera with a super wide-angle lens and 5G .

Google will soon introduce a new smartphone

Google will soon present its new Pixel 5 smartphone – this should no longer be a big surprise after a recent leak. As Winfuture writes , the website has the complete technical data sheet. Accordingly, the Pixel 5 is a top-of-the-range smartphone, but in some areas it relies on a somewhat reduced configuration compared to competing devices. This results in a lower price.

The 6-inch display has a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and should support a frame rate of 90 Hz. Google is said to have dispensed with a fingerprint sensor integrated in the display, which is instead installed on the back. The front camera should be installed in the left corner of the screen.

According to the information, Google has installed a dual camera on the back, the main camera of which is to have a Sony sensor with 12.2 megapixels and optical image stabilization. The second camera is said to have a super wide-angle lens and 16 megapixels. That would be a welcome addition to the Pixel 4, which comes with an additional telephoto lens. We missed a super wide-angle lens in the Pixel 4 test; Telephoto photos can also be taken with the main camera without any problems thanks to Google’s algorithms in the double magnification range.

Snapdragon 765G and 128 GB of memory

Inside the Pixel 5 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G, a high-end SoC with a built-in 5G modem. The 765G is not quite as powerful as the 865, but it is cheaper. According to Winfuture, the memory should be 8 GB, the flash memory 128 GB.

The battery should have a nominal charge of 4,080 mAh and can be charged with 18 watts. Wireless charging should also be possible. Users should be able to use a physical SIM card and an eSIM.

In Germany, the Pixel 5 will cost 630 euros.
